Restoring Your iPod

Restoring the iPod erases your iPod’s disk and restores the device to its original factory condition. Restore erases all of the data on the disk, so make sure you back up any important data you may have put on your iPod. You can retrieve the music from your computer’s music library.

Macintosh Restoring

For the Mac version, you can use the iPod Software Updater application to restore your iPod. You can download this application from Apple Software Downloads (http://www.apple.com/swupdates/). To restore the Mac version of the iPod, follow these steps:
