Chapter 3.  Managing Your Music Library  >  Finding and Displaying Songs

Finding and Displaying Songs

When you update your iPod automatically, all the songs in your library are transferred to your iPod. However, if you want to update your iPod manually with specific songs or albums, you need to be able to find these songs and albums in the library quickly. Using either iTunes or MusicMatch Jukebox, you can sort the list of songs and locate songs or albums. You can then drag them to playlists or directly to your iPod, as described later in this chapter.

Browsing Songs

Songs are first listed in the library in track order within albums, and albums are listed under the artist’s name. This organization reflects the way the music files are stored on disk. iTunes and MusicMatch Jukebox have different interfaces and styles for organizing their music libraries, but the functions are basically the same.
