Chapter 2.  Going Mobile  >  Listening to iPod Music on the Road

Listening to iPod Music on the Road

You have an entire music library in a device that fits in your shirt pocket. You can take it anywhere and play music anywhere. If you can’t plug your iPod into power while playing, its battery will provide up to 10 hours of playing time before you need to recharge it. With skip protection, you don’t have to worry about turbulence, potholes, or strenuous exercise causing the music to skip.

Bring along an extra pair of headphones or ear buds and a splitter cable, like the one in Figure 2.11 (available in any consumer electronics store) or the Monster iSplitter (available in the Apple Store). You can use it to plug two pairs of headphones into your iPod and share your music with someone on the road. You can find many iPod accessories useful for traveling in the Apple Store at www.apple.com.
