Chapter 27. Downloading Files > Downloading Files from Any Web Page

Downloading Files from Any Web Page

You don't necessarily have to go to a software archive to find files to download. You can actually download files you find on any web page—especially graphics files. That's because if you see a pretty picture on a page, that picture is actually a graphics file; any background on a web page is also a file. And any graphics file on a web page can be downloaded to your PC.

To download a graphics file from a web page, all you have to do is right-click the picture and select Save Picture As from the pop-up menu. When prompted, select a location for the file, then click Save. The graphics file will now be downloaded to the location you specified.
