Troubleshooting MP3 Digital Music and Media Players

We're not sure what's more amazing: being able to capture high-resolution digital photos with a camera that fits into your shirt pocket, or being able to stuff anything from a Beethoven symphony to a Live Aid concert into an MP3 player no bigger than a large pack of gum.

MP3 players, in some ways, have an even tougher job than digital cameras. Although they don't create content, they must properly handle multiple file formats (MP3, WMA, and AAC are the most common), deal with the increasingly thorny question of digital rights management (DRM), and provide enough storage space for “just one more song.” Larger MP3 players (those about the size of a transistor radio) often provide full-blown media playback, adding support for digital photos and videos.
