Troubleshooting the Display Subsystem

You tell your computer what to do with the keyboard and mouse, but how do you know whether the computer got the message? Take a look at the monitor! The monitor is often called the display these days, and no wonder:

  • It displays the current programs running on your system.

  • It doesn't display anything if the system is running in a power-saving mode or is shut down.

  • If you use two or more displays on your system, you can comfortably run more programs and get more feedback than with a single display.
