Chapter 7. Hardware Annoyances > FRAMED DIGITAL PHOTOS

FRAMED DIGITAL PHOTOS

The Annoyance:

I love showing off my digital-camera handiwork, but boy is it a hassle to bring everyone around my PC to view the images.

The Fix:

I have just the thing: Pacific Digital's MemoryFrame, an appealing gadget that looks like a traditional picture frame, but stores and displays multiple digital images on a 5.6-inch LCD screen. Just connect the MemoryFrame via USB to your PC, camera, or memory card reader, and then load up to 55 images (in JPEG, TIF, PNG, GIF, or BMP format) into the frame's 16 MB of RAM and 8 MB of flash memory. Hang the MemoryFrame on your wall or place it on a tabletop to view a slideshow of your pictures (see Figure 7-11).
