Wi-Fi Networking

A friend recently moved into a new house where the previous owner had spent a great deal of time wiring every room with Ethernet for easy networking. A great idea, to be sure, but it might be a couple of years too late. Wi-Fi networking (also known by its technical moniker, 802.11b networking) enables you to connect multiple computers in your house or office without running a meter of wire, as well as go to several coffeeshops and other businesses with a Wi-Fi-enabled laptop—or a Palm OS handheld (like the Tungsten C).
