Use a Tracking Program

A few applications have been designed specifically to track time. One application Jeff uses is HourzPro (www.zoskware.com), which lets him record his billable hours as well as non billable time that he wants to keep tabs on. Other similar applications include Timesheet (www.seatechnology.com.au/timeSheet.html) and TEAK (www.eb7.com).

To track your time using HourzPro

1.
Launch HourzPro (Figure 15.3). Tap one of the view icons at the lower left to choose between the project view ( ) and the day view ( ). Tap the New button to create a new record.

From the Project popup menu, choose Edit Projects to set up a new activity; if this is a business-related project, enter the client name and rate. Tap OK and then select the activity from the popup menu.

The timer begins when you create a new record, which will be shown on the HourzPro Entry screen (Figure 15.4). Tap Done to return to the main screen.

When finished with the activity, tap the stopwatch icon to the right of the description to stop the timer; the duration (and charge, if you entered a rate) is automatically calculated.
