Macintosh Palm Desktop Special Features

Palm Desktop for Macintosh includes several features not found in the Windows software. For example, it offers the ability to attach not only notes to records, but also to create links between related records. Unfortunately, the links don't transfer over to the handheld. Note that Contacts is referred to as Addresses.

To link records

1.
Open an Address record by selecting it and pressing Return, or double-clicking it.

Grab the title bar icon () in the upper-left corner and drag it to the contact you wish to link. You can drag contacts onto events, to do items, and memos as well (Figure 5.65). You can also just drag one record in the Contacts list onto another without viewing the details of either.

Alternately, click the attachment popup menu () and choose an item from the Attach To submenu.
