Chapter 4. Calendar > Journal Entries

Journal Entries

For an easy method of keeping track of thoughts and ideas, use the Daily Journal.

To create a journal entry

1.
Choose Daily Journal from the New button's popup menu, or New Journal Entry from the Record menu, or press Menu-J. A new note screen appears with the current time entered (Figure 4.66).

Figure 4.66. A time stamp is automatically added to the bottom of the day's journal record.

2.
Insert pithy thought, wry observation, erudite comment, or overheard joke.

3.
Tap Done to return to the Day view. Journal records appear as untimed records at the top of the screen (Figure 4.67).

Figure 4.67. The Daily Journal is really just an untimed record with an attached note, but it's a quick method of jotting down ideas and snippets of information.

4.
If, at the end of your scribblings, you decide to delete what you've written (or if you wrote over a previous record), tap the Restore button to revert to the state at which you first entered the journal.
