Chapter 9. Digital HubbubMusic, Movies, ... > Make a Custom Mac OS X Screen Saver

Make a Custom Mac OS X Screen Saver

Screen savers were once things of infinite mystery (how did they make those toaster fly?). Thanks to Mac OS X, that's no longer the case. Anyone can create a cool customized screen saver easily. Here's how:

1.
Place the pictures that you'd like the screen saver to display in a folder somewhere on your hard drive.

2.
Launch System Preferences, and click Screen Saver.

3.
In the resulting Screen Saver window, click Slide Show in the Screen Savers list.

4.
Click the Configure button, and navigate to your folder full of pictures.

5.
Click Open.

6.
Close Screen Saver.
