Sharing Disks

With the rise of the Internet, e-mail, and cross-platform local networks, sharing disks with PC users just isn't as important as when the floppy disk was the main method of moving files. But it is still handy to move CDs, Zip cartridges, and other media between Macs and PCs. You can even move hard drives between the two platforms.

Disk Formats

The main issue with sharing disks between Macs and PCs is that of disk format, the method used to lay down information on disk storage devices. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Macs and PC use different disk formats for many storage types.
