Chapter 19. Sherlock 2 > Extra tip while searching the Internet with Sherlock 2

Extra tip while searching the Internet with Sherlock 2

Chances are that when Sherlock 2 finds some good sites for you, you'll want to bounce back and forth between Sherlock and your browser—clicking on the Sherlock links, checking them out in the browser, going back to Sherlock to click another link, and so on. To make this process easier, drag down the Application menu palette (directions below). Then you can just click the palette button icons to pop back and forth between Sherlock and your browser.

To make the Application palette

1.
Position your pointer directly on the Application menu, which is the one in the far, upper-right corner of your menu bar. It names the current application you are in.

2.
Press on that menu and drag your mouse down through the menu and off the bottom, still holding the mouse button down. The menu will "tear off."

3.
Resize the floating Application palette: hold down the Command key and click in the tiny little zoom box (circled, left).

4.
Let the palette float around on your screen. When you want to go to Sherlock, click the Sherlock icon. When you want to go to Netscape, click the Netscape icon.

5.
To put the palette away, just click in its tiny close box in the upper-left.
