The windows

We're going to experiment with the mouse, using the windows. A window, as shown below, is one of the basic features of the Macintosh. (I know, you may have heard the term Windows, with a capital W, in reference to Microsoft and other computers besides Macintosh. Those other computers use technology, um, "inspired" by the Macintosh.)

You'll use windows at the Desktop, and you'll use them in every program you work in, including when you use the Internet, so it's a good idea to get to know them pretty well. You're going to have to resize them, move them, "roll them up," put them away, and get them out again. You can do all of these things with the mouse.
