The Favorites menu (Mac OS 8.5 and higher)

In the Apple menu is an item called "Favorites," which is specifically meant for you to customize. You can put aliases (see page 237) of any file on your hard disk in this menu, then when you want to open that item, you simply use the Favorites menu. To put an alias of any file in the Favorites menu, while you're at the Desktop click on the file. Then from the File menu, choose "Add To Favorites," or use the contextual menu as shown on the opposite page. Also see below.


This is the Favorites folder. It's in the System Folder.
