World Book Encyclopedia

Some iMacs include two CDs for the World Book Encyclopedia. If you have them, they would be in your little packet of CDs that came with your computer.

You have to install part of the encyclopedia software before you can use it, then you must always insert the first CD when you want to find something in it; at times, when you are looking for things, that CD will pop out and you will be asked to insert the other CD. Many articles have links to related material on the World Wide Web; click one of the links and the World Book will connect to the Internet and take you to that page. If your only access to the Internet is America Online, you'll have to open and log on to AOL before you try to read an Internet article by way of World Book.
