Chapter 9. Fax a Note to Someone > Send a QuickNote fax

Send a QuickNote fax

Okay, let's finally send a fax to someone. This QuickNote is just what it says—you can send a quick note with about six lines of text (a maximum of 255 characters). To send a longer fax, see the following page.

  1. If you don't have the Fax Browser (shown on the opposite page) already on your screen, double-click the Fax Browser icon (see page 138). If you double-click that and still don't see anything, press Command B, or from the Windows menu at the top of the screen, choose "Show Browser."

  2. In the row of buttons you see in the upper-left of the Fax Browser window, click on the third one (or from the File menu, choose "QuickNote").

  3. You'll get an "Untitled QuickNote" window, as shown below. Type the information of the person you are sending the fax to (remember, you already entered the information about whom the fax is from when you customized the settings, previous page).

Type the message. If you type too many words, you'll get beeped at and the words just won't show up.

    Click "Send Fax." That's it.
