Replacing the Battery

Your computer contains a battery that provides a backup specifically for your timekeeping feature (your date and clock). If you turn your computer off or your computer should crash, the battery ensures that these settings don't become inaccurate.

If this battery starts to go, you'll notice that your computer clock is no longer accurate. That's when it's time to replace it. Most Pavilions use a CR2032 lithium battery with a 3-volt, 220mAH rating, but just to be safe, verify this with the manual for your Pavilion model.
