Chapter 14. Exploring the Internet > Project: Picking Your Perfect Home Page

Project: Picking Your Perfect Home Page

By default, Microsoft has set MSN.com as your Internet Explorer home page, but you might want to set your favorite search engine, such as Google or Ask, or your school Web site or a news channel as your home page.

✓ First locate a Web page that you think you'd like to use as a home page. Then, just follow these steps:

1.
Select Tools, Options. The Internet Options dialog box shown in Figure 14.6 appears.

Figure 14.6. The seven tabs on this dialog box contain a wealth of settings for how Internet Explorer takes you around the Internet.

2.
If you have the page you want to use currently displayed, click Use Current to set it as your home page. If you don't have the page you want to use displayed, type its URL in the Address box, and click Apply.

3.
Click OK to close the dialog box.
