Chapter 13. Concept > Audience Profile

Audience Profile

Who is the audience for this presentation?

Sometimes presenters don’t know who will be in the audience. If they don’t, they can still take an educated guess. For example, if a presenter delivers seminars in several cities, they will not know from day to day who will be in the audience. All they can do is make some suppositions such as: college-educated, typically 35 to 55 years old, equal mix of men and women, employees and managers in business, education, non-profit agencies, public and private organizations, representative mix of ethnicities, interested in practical techniques they can take back to the office and put to work the next day.
