Chapter 4. Working with Web Page Text > Inserting Text from a File

Inserting Text from a File

If you have a word processing document that you want to use as a Web page, you can insert the entire file. You use the File command on the Insert menu to select the file and insert the contents. The Select File dialog box works just like the Open dialog box. FrontPage allows you to insert files in several formats, including Rich Text Format (.rtf), Text Files (.txt), Word 97-2003 (.doc), and HTML (.htm, .html).

Insert a File

Click the View menu, click Page, and then open the Web page you want to use.

Click where you want to insert the content of the file.

Click the Insert menu, and then click File.

Click the Files Of Type list arrow, and then select the type of file you want to insert.

Locate and select the file.

Click Open.
