Copying and Pasting Graphics from the Web

Copying and pasting objects is another integral part of Web design. In a Web page, you can copy and paste graphics in the same way in which you copy and paste text. When you want to copy a graphic from the Web, the process is slightly different in a Web browser; you use the right-click method. When you copy material from the Web, you need to get permission from the owner to use it. In many cases, the Web site provides conditions of use.

Copy and Paste Graphics from the Web

Open your Web browser, and then search the Web for a graphic as you normally would using your browser.

Right-click the graphic, and then click Copy. Depending on your browser, you command might differ.

Close your browser and switch back to FrontPage.

Click the View menu, and then click Page.

Click where you want to insert the graphic.

Click the Paste button on the Standard toolbar.

This inserts a reference on your page to the graphic on the Web site.
