Chapter 12. Publishing and Managing a We... > Generating Reports for a Web Site

Generating Reports for a Web Site

Site reports can offer extensive information and records regarding your site's performance and its visitors. With FrontPage, you can generate reports on a wide variety of on-site activities.

  • View A Web Site Summary. Provides general data regarding your site's content, from the number of files to a list of hyperlinks on your site.

  • View Problems. Produces reports on maintenance problems, such as large pages (big files download slowly) or pages containing broken hyperlinks.

  • Manage Workflow. Reports that help you manage your workflow (to make sure pages aren't too long or are inconsistent in size) by showing the status of your Web pages. Files in your site can be categorized, assigned to different authors, or checked in and out using source control.

  • Monitor Web Site Usage. Reports that keep a record of items such as most popular pages and types of browsers used to visit your site.
