Chapter 11. Gathering User Input Using Forms > Creating a Confirmation Page

Creating a Confirmation Page

Use Form Confirmation Pages so that your site visitors can confirm that the information they've entered on a form is correct and, if changes need to be made, the visitors can reset the form and begin again. By default, FrontPage creates a generic confirmation page, but you can create your own confirmation page—from a template or custom page— to replace the default one.

Create a Confirmation Page Using a Template

Click the New button list arrow on the Standard toolbar, and then click Page.

Click the Confirmation Form icon.

Click OK.

Modify the text you want displayed after a visitor has submitted a form anywhere on the page, and then select the text.

To modify a field (bracketed text), double-click the field, type a field name, and then click OK.

To add more confirmation fields, click the Insert menu, click Web Component, click Advanced Controls, click Confirmation Field, and then click Finish.
