Merging and Splitting Cells and Tables

Quite often, you don't want to have exactly the same number of cells in every row or column in a table. As you saw when using Draw Table, it's possible to create tables without the exact same number of cells in each row and column.

If you've already created the table you want to use, don't fret. You don't have to scrap your work and create a new table using the Draw Table tool. Instead, you can use the Merge Cells and Split Cells functions to create cells that span multiple rows and columns in tables that you create.
