Chapter 14. Scripting and DHTML > Editing Script Files in FrontPage

Editing Script Files in FrontPage

Thanks to FrontPage's built-in behaviors, you may never need to touch script code directly. That said, it is nice to be able to write your own scripts or enter scripts obtained from other sources. To use these client-side scripts in a page, you first need to be able to insert them.

There are two ways to add scripts using FrontPage: You can edit scripts directly in the Code view, or you can launch the Microsoft Script Editor to get a more powerful environment dedicated to creating and debugging scripts. See Chapters 11, “Using Code in FrontPage,” and 23 (found on the web), “Knowing the Code,” for more information about HTML code.
