Part: I Getting Started > Creating Sites and Pages

Chapter 2. Creating Sites and Pages

In this chapter

  • A little bit of site planning can save a big amount of time.

  • Create the Web site first, and the pages will follow.

  • You don't have to reinvent the wheel—you can import an existing Web site.

  • You can create, open, save, and even delete Web sites and pages with ease.

It's tempting to jump right in and throw a page onto the screen to start working in FrontPage. Indeed, you'd probably learn quite a bit about the tools and options just by hacking away at them. You'd probably also wind up spending a lot of time making and fixing mistakes, though, and you'd be apt to go through a lot of work just to find that FrontPage doesn't upload your finished creation in the way you expected. Actually building a cohesive site requires embarking on your development journey with a plan and an understanding of how FrontPage handles sites and pages.
