Part: I Getting Started > Getting Started with FrontPage 2003

Chapter 1. Getting Started with FrontPage 2003

In this chapter

  • Getting over the intimidation factor of all those views and options

  • Getting the Task Pane and Folders List out of your way--and getting them back when they're really needed.

  • Finding additional answers for FrontPage and Web-design questions

  • Using Find and Replace to make changes from a small to a grand scale

Opening FrontPage for the first time is a bit like getting a present from your elderly aunt--you're excited about getting something new, but not quite sure what to do with it. Indeed, the menus, toolbars, task panes, and views are rather confusing and even a bit intimidating at first. They make Web design look incredibly challenging, which is definitely the wrong impression. Once you start looking closely at the FrontPage environment and getting on with the task of developing your first Web site, however, you'll soon find that you're as comfortable in FrontPage as you are with that eight-foot-long, brightly striped scarf you now wear all winter.
