Accessing Other Views

FrontPage reminds you of the need to keep the big picture in mind by opening with the Web Site view. Your site may start as a single page, but it will usually evolve into several or even dozens of pages. And even a single page makes use of graphics and other files. The Web Site views, listed at the bottom of the Web Site tab enable you to work on your entire site.

caution

You should do all your file management for your Web site in FrontPage. If you move or rename files in Windows Explorer or another package, you risk corrupting your FrontPage Web site. Be particularly careful about deleting files that appear in Windows Explorer but not in the FrontPage Folders view; FrontPage uses hidden files to store information about your Web site, but doesn't list them in the Folders view by default. To see these hidden files in FrontPage, choose Tools, Web Settings and click the Advanced tab in the Web Settings dialog box. Choose Show Hidden Files and Folders.
