Links: The Key to Getting Around the Internet

The Internet is made up of billions of Web sites that reside on millions of different computers. Each site has its own unique address, as does each page within a site—much as an apartment building has a street address, and each apartment in that building has a unique number. When you create a link, your page is considered the source of the link, while the page to which you're linking is called the target.

Linking to Existing Pages

To link to an existing page, do the following:
