Chapter 16. Creating Forms > Adding Form Controls

Adding Form Controls

Adding a form to a page is only the first step. To make it truly useful, you need to add form controls. Controls you can add using FrontPage include single and multiline text fields, option buttons, check boxes, lists, drop-down menus, and various kinds of buttons. These form controls are described here in more detail.

Text Boxes

The workhorse of the form control set is the text box, shown in Figure 16.4. A text box provides a place for the user to enter a single line of text. Text boxes have many uses in forms: entering usernames and passwords, search terms, names and addresses, and much more.
