Alternatives to Using FrontPage Navigation

The benefit of a dynamically updated menu bar can be obtained through means other than FrontPage navigational components. Many FrontPage sites use the FrontPage Included File Web component to manage their navigational elements, and others make use of a dynamically generated database drive site to manage all content as necessary.

The benefits of placing navigational elements in an included file are obvious. You have complete control over content and look and feel, and you can add and remove whatever elements are desired. In addition, you can build an unlimited amount of included files for whatever navigation elements you might need. The negatives to building your own navigational elements through included content comes from the simple fact that FrontPage can't keep content up-to-date for you and you will have to update such content accordingly every time a new page is added.
