Chapter 13. Creating a Web Site > Creating a Server-based Web Site

Creating a Server-based Web Site

Creating a server-based Web site is accomplished following almost the same steps used when creating a disk-based Web site. To create a server-based Web site

1.
Select File, New. The New task pane is displayed.

2.
In the New Web Site section of the New task pane, choose a Web site template. The Web Site Templates dialog box is displayed, as seen previously in Figure 13.2.

3.
Enter a server location for your new Web site, as seen in Figure 13.5. You will use this URL to browse to the site once it has been created. For example, http://localhost/mysite will create a new server-based site called mysite on the local Web server.

Figure 13.5. By entering an http:// location for your new Web site, you are creating a server-based Web site.

4.
Click OK and FrontPage will create the new Web site at the location you specified.
