Inserting Form Fields

Form fields are the various text boxes, check boxes, or other items that you place on the form to gather information. FrontPage provides a number of different form field types. Table 12.1 lists some commonly used form field types and how you might use them in a form.

Table 12.1. Field Types for Your Forms

Text area Use when providing room for multiple lines of text in a scroll box format.
Check box Use when providing a number of different options, where one or more options may be applicable.
Option button Use when providing several choices and only one selection is required.
Drop-down box Use when providing choices where one selection from menu is needed and there are space constraints (a drop-down menu takes up less space than several check boxes or radio buttons).
