Chapter 12. Using Style Sheets with Indi... > Creating Style Sheets with FrontPage

Creating Style Sheets with FrontPage

Style sheet use in FrontPage is not exactly WYSIWYG, but it is easier than coding the HTML by hand. Essentially, you insert styling code into a STYLE block using preset choices from a dialog box. Alternatively, you can add inline styles to a page element by using the Class sheet of the Style dialog box. Finally, you can create an external style sheet and reference it as a linked style sheet.

Creating an Embedded Style by Modifying HTML Tags

As you'll remember from the discussion earlier in this chapter, embedded styles are those you define within the STYLE block inside the HEAD section of the page. One way to create an embedded style is to modify existing HTML tags, such as <H1> and <P>, to get the desired style effects.
