HTML Implementation of ActiveX Controls

Implementing ActiveX controls in HTML Web pages requires the use of the HTML and tags to include and configure each desired control. Although not too difficult, the syntax for using these controls and determining the correct configuration parameters for each can be an intimidating task. Fortunately, FrontPage makes the process somewhat easier through its point-and-click method of control installation. Before you work with this, however, a brief discussion of how ActiveX works in a page will be helpful.

As just stated, including ActiveX controls in HTML documents requires use of the tag to embed the control within the page. Controls are configured through the attributes of the tag, and configuration parameters are set by using the tag within the ... container.
