Chapter 20. Using FrontPage 2002's Dynam... > Using the DHTML Effects Tools

Using the DHTML Effects Tools

FrontPage gives you a broad range of DHTML effects that are oriented to the appearance and behavior of text and images—including basic font and color changes for text and animating the arrival of text and images on a page. The majority are created using the DHTML Effects toolbar, which is organized around mouse behavior and page loading.

Understanding Click, Double-Click, Mouse Over, and Page Load

FrontPage applies DHTML effects by tying them to three mouse events and one page event. With respect to the mouse, the effect occurs when the mouse is either clicked or double-clicked on some defined text or on a defined image, or when the mouse pointer is on top of some defined text or a defined image. In the fourth case, page load, the effect occurs when the page is loaded into the browser.
