Using the FrontPage Spreadsheet Components

FrontPage includes three specialized components for managing spreadsheet data on a Web page. These components are the Office Spreadsheet, Office Pivot Table, and Office Chart. They are all versions of various Microsoft Excel tools. The target browser must support ActiveX component technology, which means that these components will not function if viewed in any version of Netscape Navigator. They work properly in IE 3 and later, however.

Adding a Spreadsheet Component to a Web Page

Select Insert, Web Component, Spreadsheets and Charts. In the Choose a Control list box, select Office Spreadsheet. An Excel worksheet appears on the page. This component includes a comprehensive Help system, which is available through the Help button on the spreadsheet toolbar.
