Chapter 2. The FrontPage 2002 Environment > Creating a Disk-Based Web

Creating a Disk-Based Web

In this section, you'll work through the process of creating a simple web. This will be just a quick run-through to get you used to FrontPage's process because you'll learn about web creation in detail later in the book. The web you set up here will be disk-based; in other words, it will consist of a collection of folders containing linked pages and page elements and will not be hosted by a Web server.

To begin, click the Windows Start button, go to Programs, and select Microsoft FrontPage. When FrontPage opens, select File, New, Page Or Web from the menu bar. This opens the New Page or Web site pane at the right of the screen.
