Web Page Preview

Each of the Office XP applications has the Web Page Preview in its File menu. This feature certainly isn't new with XP—Office 2000 had it as well—but it works more quickly and accurately with XP. Still, we mention it here primarily to remind you that Microsoft expects you to use the Office applications as Web authoring tools, and the increased support for Web authoring features renders the Web Page Preview even more important. Figure 30.1 demonstrates the Web Page Preview in PowerPoint 2002.

Word 2002, like Word 2000, offers the Web Layout view. In fact, Microsoft has placed this view above the Print Layout view in Word's View menu, thereby suggesting its increased importance.
