Chapter 21. Making Your Pages and Webs M... > Using Collapsible Outlines

Using Collapsible Outlines

Anyone familiar with the outlining tools of a high-end word processor or document- processing application will recognize collapsible outlines. The DHTML version enables you to create an interactive outline on a web page, so that clicking a topic heading displays the information under that heading and clicking it again makes the information vanish. Headings can be nested so that a large amount of information can reside on one screen—it's invisible when it's not needed; it's visible, at the user's command, when it is needed.
