Publishing Documents

After you've created the home page with the Home Page Wizard, you can start using the Publishing Wizard. The Publishing Wizard enables you to easily add documents to your web and automatically adds links to them on your home page. Other people with access to your web—through a network, for example—can then access these documents. Making documents available in this way is what is meant by publishing . Documents do not have to be web pages; that is, they do not have to be HTML files.

Of course, you can make documents available without using the Publishing Wizard. This is covered later in the chapter, in the section titled "Using Windows Explorer to Add Documents to the Publishing Directory."
