Using Lists to Present Your Content

As discussed earlier, the content and presentation of your pages should be in balance. That is, all the IHNK.,elements in a well-designed page support and reinforce each other so that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. (This goes for a well-designed Web site, too.)

Lists are excellent for helping you achieve this synergy in your pages because they integrate presentation and content. You can combine various types of lists to organize various types of information. You can put hyperlinks, styles, and character formatting into lists. You're not limited to a fixed font and type size, for instance, and you can nest lists of one kind inside lists of another.
