Introduction to Events

Chapters 43, 44, and 45 covered the use of the Web Object Model (WOM), the Page Object Model (POM), and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to manipulate Webs and documents in FrontPage 2000. All of the examples given in those chapters have to be run manually. One of the most powerful aspects of using an Object Model is running code in response to an event.

An event is an occurrence in FrontPage that triggers a notification. VBA programs can run code in response to this notification to create programs that react to a user's operations in FrontPage.
