Chapter 2. The FrontPage Environment > Dealing with Adaptive Menus

Dealing with Adaptive Menus

One particular FrontPage 2000 feature should be mentioned before you go on: the new Adaptive Menus feature. It detects which menu items you used most recently and displays only those when the menu entry is clicked. The less-often used menu choices remain invisible; if you want them, you look at the bottom of the menu, where there is a down arrow. The rest of the menu items appear when you click that arrow.

This feature may not be to everyone's taste; open the Customize dialog box (choose Tools, Customize) if you want to turn it off. Choose the Options sheet and deselect the Menus Show Recently Used Commands First check box. Choose Close; from now on the menus will behave in the traditional manner.
