Designers Corner

At this stage—FrontPage 2000 is installed and you've experimented with a couple of its page editing tools—the temptation is to leap in and start creating that Web site you've set your heart on. That's not a good idea. The best advice you can give yourself at this point is to slow down and think.

Quality Web sites are not produced in a rush. Before you launch FrontPage 2000 for serious work, you should have a good intuitive understanding of your as-yet created Web site. This is the conceptual stage. You must ask yourself questions such as "Who is this Web site for, what audience do I want to attract?"; "What do I want to communicate, what is the site's content?"; "What are the best ways of communicating that information?"; "How do I make the content easily accessible and attractive to my audience?"
