Chapter 2. The FrontPage Environment > Adding Text or Images to a Page

Adding Text or Images to a Page

With that out of the way, you might like to experiment with a few of the editor's tools. Try the following:

  1. Click the down arrow beside the Style box on the far left of the toolbar. Select Heading 1 and type a title for the page.

  2. Center this heading by clicking the Center button on the toolbar. Press Enter to move to the next line. Click Align Left to move the insertion point to the left margin.

  3. Now add a graphic below the heading. The Clip Art Gallery dialog opens when you select Insert, Picture, Clip Art. Click the Miscellaneous icon and click the buff-colored cloud (see Figure 2.5). Click the insert clip icon (the top one) on the pop-up menu. The image is inserted onto the page.

  4. Click the Preview tab at the bottom of the Page View window to see what the end results of your work will be. (Preview's display is essentially that of the Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or later browser.)

  5. Save the edited page to the web by choosing File, Save. When the Save Embedded Files dialog box appears, simply choose OK; this copies the image from the Clip Art Gallery to the current web.
