Chapter 44. Managing Webs with VBA > Where to Go From Here

Where to Go From Here

Now that you have a grasp of how the Web Object Model works, you will want to dive right in and start automating FrontPage. The thing to remember about the WOM, and any well-designed object model, is that its methods and properties should correspond to the UI of the feature. For example, for more information about what combinations to use when calling the Publish method of the Web object, consult the Publish Web dialog box. The option buttons at the bottom of the dialog box correspond to the PublishFlags argument that is passed in. The same holds for the ThemeProperty arguments, as well as for many more features exposed in the WOM.

For more detailed information about what meta-info is available to the programmer, see FrontPage 2000 VBA online help. A table of the key-value pairs and their descriptions is provided.
