Publishing Documents

Once you've created the homepage with the Home Page Wizard, you can start using the Publishing Wizard. The Publishing Wizard allows you to easily add documents to your Web and automatically adds links to them to your homepage. Other people with access to the Web—through an intranet, for example—can then access these documents. Making documents available in this way is what is meant by publishing. Documents do not have to be Web pages; that is, they do not have to be HTML files.

Of course, you can make documents available without using the Publishing Wizard. This will be covered later in the chapter.
